¡Ha llegado el momento! My bags are packed, passport located, tours confirmed, and I've already stressed about the weight of my carry-on bag and double checked the flight details. It can only mean one thing: I'm headed to the airport.
I've got an exciting week in Mexico planned, and I can't wait to share it with you all. This is not a typical itinerary for me, as I would usually leave more time for wandering, spontaneity, and relaxing. This time around, I've got two goals: (1) explore the sites that I may want to include on a program with students someday and (2) meet with local people and organizations for potential future partnerships. With these two goals in mind, I've got a pretty full schedule, and I'm sure the week is going to fly by.
What activities are on the list?
Visit the Jardín Etnobotánico.
Take a walking tour of Oaxaca City.
See Hierve el Agua.
Go on a mezcal tour & tasting.
Visit Monte Albán.
Eat ALL the food!!
And yes, we're ending the trip with a stop in Cancun for a beach day. I couldn't resist.
I doubt I'll be able to blog every day, but I will be posting photos and videos on my instagram. Join me over there to stay updated! @clasesconelizabeth
More soon. :)
