Immediate To Do List:

Get your passport! Or check current passport's expiration date: recommended 6 months validity after return date
Book your international flights & send Elizabeth the details
Mark your calendar: Saturday, September 28 @ 10:00 AM Central Time is our required virtual Pre-departure meeting
New 8/27: Fill out and return this sheet to Elizabeth by 9/13 to pass on to the Spanish Immersion School in Oaxaca, where you'll take your Spanish classes
Continue practicing your Spanish

Other To Do List:

Phone plan: check with your provider about international use
Contact your bank about using credit & debit cards abroad
Exchange money to have Mexican pesos (not required: you can use an ATM upon arrival to take out cash)
Decide if you want travel insurance & purchase
Leave copy or photo of passport with trusted person at home
Pack: suggested packing list will be sent in September

"Hay" While Traveling

Imagine for a moment that you're traveling in a Spanish-speaking country and have a question. You may be wondering if there is a place to eat nearby - or if there's an ATM to get cash in the local currency - or if there are guides available for your tour.

Los Números

Numbers may feel boring to learn, but they are ESSENTIAL! You'll need them to understand the time, restaurant and souvenir prices, currency exchange, how long the walking tour lasts, etc.

There's no way around it: you'll need to understand numbers during a language immersion experience!

Travel Verbs

If you've been learning Spanish for awhile now, you know that verb endings change depending on who is doing the action (conjugation). You can also indicate who or what is doing the action by using subject pronouns.
